La Queue de Cheval Montreal Steakhouse
Prime, dry-aged meats are the showstoppers at Queue de Cheval, a rustic, chateau-styled steakhouse accented with deep, rich maple wood and tall, vaulted ceilings in the heart of downtown Montréal. Set in a renovated historic property, with a giant open grill and an arching staircase at its center, Queue de Cheval buzzes nightly with a lively, stylish, carnivorous crowd. The classic steakhouse menu offers USDA Prime beef that is dry-aged for five weeks, butchered in house, and then spiced up with bold, robust flavors before being grilled to juicy perfection. As you’d expect from a steakhouse, the wine list complements the cuisine with a great selection of rich, meaty reds. Those in search of less meat won’t have to order in from another restaurant, however. The menu has a generous raw bar, a terrific selection of salads and vegetarian appetizers, and a shimmering Fresh Fish Market that features a selection of about six fish nightly, which the kitchen will prepare grilled, whole-roasted, or seared with a choice of toppings and crusts.
