2012 Volvo S60

2012 Volvo S60 Test Drive & Luxury Car Review

The 2012 Volvo S60 has the most powerful engine Volvo has ever had in a sedan. The turbocharged 3.0 liter inline-6 produces 325 horsepower and 354 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy for this engine is 18 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway. There is also a smaller less powerful 2.5 liter 5-cylinder that makes 250 horsepower and 256 lb-ft of torque. Less power and a smaller engine means better fuel economy and the 2.5 liter gets 20 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway. Prices range from $31,150 to $42,950.

From a design standpoint Volvo has really stepped up their game. The 2012 Volvo S60 has everything in its arsenal to compete with other entry level luxury sedans. There are a bunch of great safety features that come standard on the S60. On the inside the Volvo keeps it simple and comfortable. But it’s the monster engine that is the best part of the new 2012 S60 luxury sedan.
